Alumni Night on July 8 will mark 35th season for Masquers Theatre Company
Cliff Buchan News Editor There have been ups and downs, good times and bad times in the 35-year history of Masquers Theatre Company, but the board of directors of the all-volunteer Forest Lake acting company is hoping for only positive this summer for what they see as a banner year on stage. And it will be a season where the past is honored. Friday, July 8, the opening night for “The Music Man,” will serve as “Alumni Night.” The board is hoping to reach many of 2154 people who are counted as Masquers’ alumni, both in on-stage and off-stage functions. That includes the 163 individuals who have served as board members. Since forming in 1977 and handling 96 productions, mostly at Forest Lake High School, Masquers has entertained more than 200,000 guests.
